Green tea is not only a mere drink to be served to guests or to be sipped on lazy afternoons. It is a drink that possesses many medicinal benefits and if the world has known of it for as long as the Chinese have, then there would have been more healthy people. Green tea is unlikely to be your usual drink. Its many health benefits separate it from other types of drink, even from its own family of tea. The green tea actually offers more health benefits than your traditional black tea does. This is basically because of the process behind its production. The green tea, as opposed to the black tea, is unfermented. This means that the green tea is steamed right after harvest, leaving no time for the leaves to oxidize. The result is more enzyme and nutritional content present in green tea.
